      • 2006 "Chef of the Year" in Spain

Precociousness applied to cooking. Jordi is a unique example of how vocation
(that wonderful feeling of “being called to learn and then to teach it”)
can appear naturally, without coming from the outside.“
    (Rodrigo García Fernández)
Jordi Cruz is considered a reference-point in the culinary panorama of Spain. In 2004, at just 26 years old, he was awarded with a Michelin star, thus entering Spanish history as its youngest ever recipient. Two years later he won the Spanish edition of "Chef of the Year". The chef defines his cookery as "evolutionary and restless, based on the product and on creativity as well as on tradition." His ability to combine, and his own view of an avant-garde cuisine - which goes far beyond trends and fashions - is clear. Among other projects, Jordi Cruz is a judge in the TV program "MasterChef".
